Company Background:
My Next Fit was founded in 2021 by Karla Williams, with the mission of rehoming luxury preloved goods and helping them find a new life while also reducing the quantity of an estimated 17 million tons that enters landfills. After being fired from her corporate job, Karla took on the responsibility of caring for her ill mother until her passing in 2021. Karla’s mother encouraged her to continue pursuing her passions and within a week Karla filed for her official LLC.
Karla Williams, Owner and Founder:
Karla Williams (26) was born in Red Bank, NJ in 1997 and after graduating from High School, Karla was determined to become a Cosmetic Dentist. A year into Pre-Med, Karla decided that pursuing this career would not lead her to the life she desired. Her mother saw the struggle her daughter was facing and encouraged her to follow her interest and passion for the fashion industry. Karla would go on to receive her Associates of Fashion Merchandising from Brookdale, NJ, her Bachelors in Fashion Merchandising from LIM College in NYC, New York and her Masters in Fashion Marketing from LIM. Karla has worked with Authentic Brands Group, T&A Showroom, and F4M Brands which has given her the know-how of how to successfully run a business.
